The annual Spartan Classic 32-team individual wrestling tournament in Connersville, IN was held on Tuesday, December 30 and Wednesday, December 31, 2008 this year. After winning this event last year, the currently 8th ranked Reitz Panthers took 2nd place overall this year. Connersville is typically a grueling and long 2 days featuring fierce competition from all over the state. Reitz had 3 individuals in the finals but unfortunately did not have a single champion after winning 4 of 7 just a year ago.
